Troy Newton

VP of Business Development

Troy Newton is 3rd generation law enforcement in his family and retired full-time in 2019 as a patrol sergeant with over 30 years of training and experience. He served in many capacities that include patrol across all shifts, school resource officer (SRO), and leadership roles on specialized units. He led a multi-agency gang task force and a multi-agency environmental crimes task force, coordinating across jurisdictions to address complex, organized criminal activity.

Troy conducted numerous undercover operations throughout his career, including narcotics investigations, property crimes stings, and prostitution operations. His ability to operate effectively in high-risk, covert environments reflects a level of discipline and tradecraft that translates directly into private sector investigative work.

Since retiring in 2019, Troy has broadened his expertise across a variety of industries that benefit from his investigative background, with a particular focus on employee misconduct and administrative investigations. At Encyphir, he applies that law enforcement foundation to business development, helping organizations understand how professional investigations can protect their people, assets, and reputation.
